Here’s a monthly report of what happened at WazirX in March 2026.
What Happened Last Month?
🎉 On March 8, WazirX completed 8 years; a journey defined by building, surviving, and rebuilding together.
[DONE] New Trading Pairs: We listed new pairs in the INR market.
[DONE] PnL Tracking is Back: PnL tracking has been re-enabled for your account, allowing you to monitor the portfolio’s profit and loss. If you notice lower invested values, it’s due to the January 17, 2025, rebalancing combined with FIFO-based calculations. Read more details here.
[DONE] WazirX x Sikka.fun: SHM Airdrop Campaign: WazirX users participated in the Sikka.fun campaign, engaging with Sikka.fun app to explore token creation and trading. As part of the campaign, users who generated their keys on the WazirX app were eligible for the SHM airdrop, with over 2,000 users across Phase 1 & 2 receiving 50,000 SHM each.
NOTE: Phase 3 is now live, exclusively for WRX holders, offering 25,000 SHM to the first 1,000 eligible users holding over 5,000 WRX tokens.
[DONE] User Safety & Security Awareness Campaign: To address the growing risks of fraud and misinformation, we rolled out a safety and security campaign to educate users on staying protected across social platforms through engaging creatives and a blog. As part of this, we shared essential security tips to help both new and existing users safeguard their crypto investments.
[DONE] Futures Early Access Rollout & Feedback Loop: We rolled out Futures in an early access phase by shortlisting applicants, successfully onboarding them, and setting up a dedicated Telegram group for real-time updates. An ongoing education campaign is helping users get started, and we continue to gather feedback to improve the experience. The feature will be made available to all users in the coming weeks.
[DONE] Quick Product Updates:
- Introduced new token status labels such as “In Swap,” “Recently Swapped,” and “Delisted” to provide users with clearer, at-a-glance visibility to the status of the assets. Read more details here.
- Improved overall account security with enhanced withdrawal safeguards and upgraded bot protection (reCAPTCHA) to keep user accounts safer.
- Referral rewards distribution has been streamlined, with pending rewards successfully processed and ongoing payouts now set to run automatically.
- Referral rewards have been successfully disbursed to all eligible users under both the ZERO and PPT models for the period of December 2025 to February 2026.
- Backend optimization continued to deliver faster load times and a smoother app experience.
[DONE] Highest Trader Kaun Contests: March was a month full of HTKs, with contests across markets, keeping traders’ participation and winning spirit high.
- SHM/INR (March 03 – 07): WazirX organized the first Highest Trader Kaun contest of March 2026 in the SHM/INR market, offering rewards worth 52.9 Million SHM.
- USDT/INR (March 08 – 16): WazirX hosted an 8-day special Birthday Edition of Highest Trader Kaun in the USDT/INR market, where top traders shared rewards worth ₹8 lakh.
- WRX/INR (March 20 – 24): This HTK edition took place in the WRX/INR market, maintaining competitive momentum throughout the month. The top 100 traders shared the ₹2,50,000 reward pool.
- USDT/INR (March 27 – 31): Closed March on a strong note by wrapping up the HTK contest in the USDT/INR market, where traders had the chance to win from a ₹2,50,000 reward pool.
