Overview
Balancer is an automated market maker (AMM) established in March 2020 on the Ethereum blockchain. The Balancer protocol is a weighted portfolio, a price sensor, and a liquidity provider. It allows users to profit by contributing to customized liquidity pools using its token $BAL.
The balancer has the unique capability of allowing several tokens to be added without the need for ETH.
Even though Balancer isn't the first DeFi protocol to incorporate AMMs, it has given liquidity a new face and method. The protocol's distinctive feature allows liquidity providers to have up to eight assets per market, each weighted by percentage and automatically rebalanced.

The Balancer Protocol team created the platform on Ethereum. It is also available on Polygon. As a result, trading in Ether and ERC-20 tokens is possible. Balancer is also trustless and permissionless. It has a self-balancing weighted protocol. Balancer V2 is currently being used. Since it's based on the ethereum platform, the programming language used is Solidity. Use of Native tokens in the ecosystem: Balancer didn't come with a native token when launched. They introduced a governance token, $BAL, in June 2020. The token's objective is to allow for increased decentralization and provide an incentive for LP.
