Idex refers to itself as the first hybrid liquidity DEX, combining an order book with an automated market maker. It combines the security and liquidity of an AMM with the performance and functionality of a standard order book architecture. By combining an off-chain trading engine with the on-chain deal resolution, Idex takes a unique approach to decentralized exchanges. This benefits user in a variety of ways.
For starters, this strategy eliminates bad transactions and wasted gas money, making trading more enjoyable and efficient. Instant trade execution eliminates the possibility of front-running or sandwich attacks, allowing users to trade without having to wait for previous trades to settle.
