Overview
Perpetual System is a decentralized protocol that uses a Virtual Automated Market Maker to exchange perpetual contracts for any asset (vAMM). By democratizing Futures and other crypto-asset derivatives, the initiative hopes to establish new financial instruments.
Perpetual Protocol makes use of a virtually automated market maker (vAMM) to provide on-chain liquidity and predictable pricing based on consistent product curves. Perpetual Protocol's vAMMs are also designed to be market-neutral and fully collateralized.

The network runs on xDai, and the PERP currency is an Ethereum ERC-20 token.
It is an ERC-20 token that is secured by a proof-of-work consensus method that compels miners to mine additional Ether. The Ethereum blockchain is secured and validated via a network of decentralized nodes.
Perpetual Protocol employs Chainlink as an oracle for funding rate computations, but it lacks an on-chain oracle as a pricing engine, preventing the use of flash loans to manipulate the price of underlying assets while profiting from Perpetual in the same transaction.
Use of Native tokens in the ecosystem: The protocol's native ERC-20 coin is PERP. Community members can use PERP tokens to administer the protocol and stake their tokens in the Staking Pool for a set period of time. In exchange, holders receive a staking incentive, which includes PERP payouts and transaction fees.
