he Storj Network (STORJ) aims to provide secure, cost-effective distributed cloud storage that allows customers to retain control over their data. In comparison to centralised cloud storage options, the distributed architecture with end-to-end encryption on every file protects against assaults, enhances dependability, speeds up download/upload, and improves performance.

Storj's main technology is a peer-to-peer smart contract system that lets users trade computer storage for money. Storj Labs Inc. creates and secures user data with its Tardigrade software, which is installed on node computers. This network of anonymous nodes eliminates the need to put our trust in cloud storage service providers to protect our data's privacy.
Since it is built on ethereum, it supports solidity as it programming languages and uses proof of work as its consensus mechanism.
