Overview
SuperRare is a network to facilitate creation, distribution and collection of digital art works for the artists and collectors. The network comprises SuperRare protocol, DAO, RARE token and SuperRare spaces. The protocol allows artists to tokenize their art through smart contracts for sale on the SuperRare marketplace. Auction-enabled marketplaces and secondary markets allow anyone to buy or sell SuperRare artwork. SuperRare Spaces is a digital art gallery used by curators or artists to release, promote, and sell artwork or hold auctions. The DAO oversees treasury and platform functionality and is managed by RARE token holders with execution by the SuperRare Board of Directors.

SuperRare offers two separate options for artists to create new NFTs. The first is SuperRare's smart contract, which issues fully compliant ERC721 tokens. SuperRare artists upload media to SuperRare Mint Flow, and the SuperRare team facilitates the technical process of creating new tokens.
The second is a set of smart contracts that artists can launch and own through traditional SuperRare Mint Flow. Instead of creating tokens via the SuperRare contract, artists can customize their own. Marketplace contracts facilitate offers, price lists, and auctions. Tokens move market contracts to facilitate transactions and deposits.
