What happened last month

[Done] WRX/INR trading contest: We kicked off the last month of 2020 with a trading competition for WRX/INR. It was a 36-hour long trading marathon where we gave away ₹2,00,000 worth WRX among top 100 traders.

[Done] WazirX Trading Fest: We decided to end 2020 with a bash and celebrated WazirX Trading Fest from 29th December – 31st December 2020. During #WazirXTradingFest, users were able to trade BTC, ETH, WRX and 20+ tokens for ZERO fee in our INR market – the market with the highest liquidity in India!
[Done] 4 new WRX pairs: In December, we also added four new token listings in our WRX market. You can now buy, sell, trade XRP, YFI, BNB, and TRX in our WRX market for ZERO fee. Happy trading!

What we’re building
[Ongoing] AMM Protocol: There have been unforeseen delays in some of the protocols that our DEX is dependent upon. This is preventing us from going live. At this moment, we don’t have an ETA on how long this will take. Be assured that we’re working very hard with the protocol team to expedite the process.

[Ongoing] Faster KYC: We have been seeing a sudden and huge surge in new signups on WazirX. We are working hard to ensure KYC approval is expedited.

2020 was an important year in the history of Bitcoin due to three important factors – pandemic, Bitcoin halving, and institutional participation.
