Dear Tribe! 🙏
With deep gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose, we are restarting.
This moment, following months of legal diligence and community resilience, is more than just the reopening of WazirX. It marks the beginning of a new chapter, made possible by your continued support.
To every user who stood by with patience and trust: THANK YOU 🙏
Your patience, trust, and belief have been the driving force behind this comeback. This restart is as much your achievement as it is ours.
As we restart together, the first few days will be crucial. It’s essential to consider a few key points that may help you navigate Day One with greater awareness and confidence.
We have put together a First Day Checklist – a simple guide to help you navigate the restart in an informed and cautious manner.
Checklist for Traders on Day One of Restart
#1 Expect Price Fluctuations
In the initial days after trading resumes, token prices on WazirX may differ from global platforms–a normal behaviour when a platform restarts trading.
Please note that price swings can be sharper than usual. Price discovery is expected to take place gradually as more users place orders and liquidity builds.
Tip: Before trading, take a moment to review current market prices and order books carefully.
#2 Stay Calm & Avoid Panic Selling
The first day of trading on the restart day will naturally bring both excitement and heightened volatility, along with price swings as markets find their balance. Volatility in the early phase is common. Consider reviewing multiple data sources and market conditions before initiating any trades.
To avoid emotion-based decisions, users may cross-check prices on publicly available platforms like CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, or any other such platform of their choice before trading. This can help users make more informed decisions.
Tip: Begin cautiously, avoid panic selling, trade mindfully, and most importantly, allow market liquidity to strengthen naturally. Keep calm and make informed decisions.
#3 Understanding Liquidity on Day One
Both USDT and INR markets will be introduced in phases, with USDT opening first and INR pairs added thereafter. More updates will be shared through our official channels. Stay tuned!
However, if you still want to convert to INR, here’s how you can do it in a simple way:
For example, let’s say Mr. X has 100 SOL and wants to convert it into INR. If the SOL/INR pair isn’t live yet, he can first trade SOL for USDT in the SOL/USDT market. Once done, he can simply sell that USDT in the USDT/INR market and receive INR.
NOTE: USDT/INR will be listed on the day the platform resumes operations.
Tip: Users may trade once the markets stabilize and avoid panic selling without reviewing market conditions. Planning your trades with awareness of available pairs may reduce confusion or delays. Patience while trading will serve you best.
#4 Understand Liquidity and Slippage in the Initial Restart Days
Liquidity is the backbone of smooth trading. On Day One, liquidity may be limited, which can lead to higher slippage on large orders. As trading activity builds, liquidity will naturally improve and prices will stabilize.
Tip: Users may choose to begin with smaller trades in the early phase to reduce slippage, better manage execution, and observe market depth as it evolves. Each user’s participation contributes to the rebuilding of market activity.
#5 Ensure to Complete Your Re-KYC Verification
Security and compliance remain at the core of ensuring safe and seamless access for all users. As a government-mandated compliance requirement, all users are requested to complete their Re-KYC verification. This will ensure that you have access to the platform’s functionality and that your account is protected.
Tip: Make sure to complete your Re-KYC verification process at the earliest. Verified accounts can avail uninterrupted trading.
Let’s Build This Together
The restart is more than just reopening the platform. It’s the beginning of a stronger, safer, and more transparent journey. It’s proof of what we have achieved together as a community. By participating responsibly, users contribute to the platform’s long-term resilience. Collective patience and informed participation will shape the early days of the restart.
