The regional arm of the electronics behemoth, Samsung Latam, has chosen to exhibit its own area on the Ethereum-based metaverse platform Decentraland. Users will be able to interact virtually with various Samsung products in the “House of Sam” area and participate in mini-games to receive rewards for their avatars that bear the Samsung logo.
Samsung Latam, the electronics company’s regional unit for Latin America, has made the decision to create a website space specifically for boosting brand awareness online. One of the largest Ethereum-based metaverse sites, Decentraland, features a location dubbed “House of Sam,” which the firm will maintain.
Bringing the company closer to a new generation of customers by utilizing the metaverse as a tool is said to be the objective of this initiative. Inaugurating on September 1 with a virtual performance from the Brazilian group Melim, the area is already accessible to users.
The House of Sam will provide a number of brand-related mini-games that award users with prizes in the form of unique wearables for its avatars in Decentraland. The Freestyle portable projector is one of the most recognizable items from the Samsung brand that is also present in the virtual environment.
Although the corporation has also been involved in the NFT (non-fungible token) market and the bitcoin mining chip industry, this is only one of many efforts Samsung has already made directly into the metaverse. The business introduced a new Roblox platform metaverse game called Space Tycoon in July. The business launched a location in Decentraland in January.
