What happened last week

1. [Done] Highest Trader Kaun: We launched this bounty program along with Ether’s listing. The response has been beyond our wildest imagination and we’re working on improving this bounty program so that we can hold this regularly. We see this as a way to reward those who help us build up our volumes and help us grow WazirX into India’s largest crypto exchange. Together with you, I’m confident we’ll achieve this. WRX will only be valuable when this happens and it’s in our best interest to focus on increasing the trading volumes at WazirX. Bring all your friends, family and anyone else who’s looking for an amazing crypto trading platform and all of us benefit together.
2. [Done] Ether listing: We listed Ether(ETH) last week and what a start! We had a volume of 100 ETH reached in the first 2 hours thanks to your enthusiasm for trading in Ether and the Highest Trader Kaun bounty program
3. [Done] Maker-Taker Model: We launched the Maker Taker model where Makers get Zero Fee Trading + 0.20% Bonus on every trade and Takers pay a low fee of 0.25%. We’re still evaluating this and we’ll experiment with a few different ways of rewards to ultimately find the right model for all our tribe members. Your suggestions around this are welcome. 4. [Done] Themes: The much awaited dark mode is now available to everyone on Android and iOS. Go to Settings and then click Appearance.

What we’re building this week

1. [Ongoing] WRX: We’re still working on WRX integration. This is a spill over from last week. The Highest Trader Kaun contest took up our time and hence we couldn’t progress faster with the WRX integration. We hope to see some major work done this week. I know all of you are eagerly waiting to have a look at the number of WRX you own and spread the word about WazirX to earn even more. Don’t worry anymore as we’ve started work on this already.
2. [Ongoing] Modify Orders: We’re almost done with this and the next update for Android and iOS will have the option to “cancel and modify order”. The next time you want to cancel an order so that you can change the price, this feature will reduce the number of clicks needed to do that. It will beautifully cancel your existing order and open up the buy/sell form with the order details already filled in. You can then just edit whatever you wanted to edit and place a new order, super fast 🚀
3. View Referral on Mobile: You can currently view the number of referrals on the website only. The next app update will allow you to see your referral count under the Settings menu.
4. Apps ready for more coins: The next app update will contain major internal improvements to help us launch a variety of new coins and tokens really, really fast to all of you. It’s time to get ready to see new coins launching at a rapid rate on WazirX!

Some achievements last week

1. ​Highest volume day: We’ve yet again beat our previous high of Rs. 75 Lakhs. We CROSSED 1 CRORE in 24 trading volume!!! We’ve achieved our first target that we have set. This couldn’t have been possible without you, our tribe members. Our week 1 volume was Rs. 1 crore and in just 4 weeks we’ve made that volume in just a day! We now have our second target ahead of us -> Reach a 24 hour volume of 100 BTC cumulative across all coins. If we keep the momentum going, I’m sure we’ll achieve that target. Let’s do this tribe!
2. Highest Number of Trades: We saw a 140% increase in the number of trades last week. This was largely to do with the Highest Trader Kaun bounty program. Amazing work tribe!
3. Highest App rating: Last week we saw the highest average app rating for the week. It was 4.5 stars out of 5!! That’s crazy and thank you once again for making that happen.

The last 5 weeks have seen tremendous growth for WazirX. We strongly believe that real businesses building on top of the blockchain distribute the wealth with those who help them grow. This is exactly what we’re trying to do by distributing WRX to you. Today, you help us spread the word about WazirX and accumulate WRX in return. In the future, when we make WazirX into India’s largest exchange, all the WRX HODLERS will be the ones who benefit the most. Collective growth is what we as a company believe in.
