Overview
The iExec network delivers computational resources to decentralized applications that demand to use them.RLC token must be used to pay for the computational resources to be used. For example, if someone wants to run a decentralized application, without using classic computational resources from the likes of AWS, Azure, or any other big tech cloud provider, they can rent computational resources from the iExec network. The iExec network is Desktop Grid computing, also known as “volunteer computing”, where unused computational resources on the network can be used by applications, and platforms alike. All payments for computational resources operate on the RLC token as the medium of exchange.

Technology
The iExec network consists of computer resource providers. These are called iExec workers. If the user chooses to be one of these workers, the user can connect to their machine and receive RLC tokens by providing resources to the network.
Application providers can monetize algorithms and data providers with valuable datasets can make them available in iExec. Next, there is also a consensus protocol known as PoCo or Proof of Contribution, which provides consensus on off-chain computing. Proof of this contribution allows external resource providers to prove the use of resources in the blockchain itself.
IExec also provides scalable, secure and easy access to decentralized applications, servers, datasets and computing resources running on the blockchain called DApps. All of this works on Ethereum, so a virtual cloud infrastructure that enables high performance computing can provide services such on demand.
Use of Native tokens in the ecosystem:
This platform allows people to rent and monetize their computing power and data by creating distributed infrastructure.
