Namaste tribe! When my crazy team told me that we’re ready to launch, the first thing that came to my mind was → Finally!

Why? Because the entire last week I’ve been bombarded with one single question:

When are you launching WazirX?

I know it’s hard to wait when you’re in love with a product. When we released our pre signup on January 31st, I never imagined the kind of response we got from all of you.

We’ve remained true to our timelines until now. And we hope to continue doing that. We’ve been updating you about every step and we intend to continue doing that as well. We believe this is how you build a crypto exchange for our tribe and move ahead together.

Here’s how we plan to launch WazirX

Step 1: We’ve started accepting Crypto and INR deposits. Withdrawals are active too. Feel free to transfer your cryptos and INR. You can also place orders but they won’t execute as the trading engine will be starting in Step 2.

INR deposits and withdrawals will be processed during business hours — 9AM to 6PM on weekdays.

Step 2: Tomorrow, at 7PM, we start trading! All the orders in the order book will start executing if there’s a match.

24 days of Free trading (no fees)

For the first 24 days you will not be charged any fees for buying and selling on WazirX. Trade as much as you want!

What cryptos are we launching with?

We launch with 3 crypto assets: Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dash.

Since this is just the beginning, we are launching with 3 coins. But we will introduce new coins as soon as we have made sure that these 3 coins are trading well.

What about WRX?

At a future date, we’ll release the exact roadmap that will explain the use cases and listing method of WRX. But, I ask you to be patient about it as we want to make sure we give WRX a grand opening. We’ll be releasing these details in stages as we progress with the trading platform.

As promised, your WRX will be reserved for you the moment you make your first trade on WazirX. However, you will not be able to view the WRX that you have earned within the product. We’ll bring more visibility into how many WRX you own, how many WRX you have gained through referrals etc. over the coming weeks. In the mean time, you can read all about WRX here.
