Namaste Tribe! If you’re holding STEEM on WazirX, we have some news for you. WazirX fully supports the upcoming STEEM hard fork and will distribute the new HIVE tokens to STEEM holders.
The Hive blockchain is expected to launch at 7:30 PM IST on Friday, March 20.
Schedule
We will take a snapshot of all STEEM tokens held by WazirX users at the time of the final Steem block prior to 20th March 7:30 PM IST and will distribute HIVE tokens at a ratio of 1 STEEM = 1 HIVE. STEEM trading will not be affected during the hard fork.
STEEM deposits/withdrawals are not enabled on WazirX because it’s listed under our Rapid Listing Initiative.
When will I get HIVE token airdrop?
WazirX users will receive the airdrop within 20 days of Binance distributing HIVE token airdrop to its users. Binance plans to do it once the forked blockchain is deemed to be stable and secure.
Some important pointers:
- STEEM balances under 1 STEEM (including those in trade orders) will not be eligible to receive the HIVE token.
- WazirX supporting HIVE airdrop doesn’t guarantee listing of HIVE. It will be listed on WazirX after it’s approved to be listed on Binance.
- We’ll add a HIVE wallet on the exchange to credit your airdrop. This will be done within 20 days of Binance distributing HIVE. However, you won’t be able to make withdrawals.
- We’ll work towards adding a seamless off-chain transfer between Binance and WazirX wallets.
