Trading Week 6 & 7 : Highest Daily volume crossed 2 crores + Number of trades increased by 80%

Namaste Tribe! I’m combining week 6 & 7 updates into one blog post. It’s been a busy and eventful two weeks at WazirX! We launched quite a few new coins and I’m sure every one of you have been enjoying trading in these new coins.

We launched TRON, EOS, ZIL and NCASH! And we ran our popular Highest Trader Kaun bounty program as well. We saw some crazy trading being performed during the bounty program. We’ve been getting a tremendous response to our bounty program and intend to bring more amazing bounties for you as we progress.

What happened last two weeks

[Done] Modify Orders: We launched the “cancel and modify order” feature on Android and iOS. This feature will cancel your existing order and open up the buy/sell form with the order details already filled in. You can then just edit whatever you wanted to edit and place a new order, super fast 🚀
[Done] View Referral on Mobile: You can now view your referral count from all the referrals you’ve made until now. This is available on both iOS and Android inside settings. Refer as many friends as possible and start earning more WRX coins.
[Done] Apps ready for more coins: We’ve made major internal improvements to help us launch a variety of new coins and tokens really, really fast to all of you. You’re already seeing the pace at which we’re launching new coins. Expect new coins every week!
[Done] Faster buy/sell: This feature is live for Android users. You can go to Settings -> Trade Settings -> Skip buy/sell confirmation. This feature will allow you to remove the confirmation screen for buy/sell form and help you place buy/sell orders really, really fast. This is useful when you want to place multiple orders. This feature is even more useful during the Highest Trader Kaun contest. You will be able to place orders quickly!

What we’re building this week

[Ongoing] WRX: We’re still working on WRX integration. We’ve been able to accomplish major work with this and are confident of announcing a release date soon. We don’t want to commit to an exact date until we’ve built and tested this out.
Notifications: While we have a basic alert system already on Android (you can find it in settings), we’re working on an advanced notification system for both Android and iOS. It’s a long sprint for building this out but it’s a much needed addition to WazirX. You will then be able to get alerts for price changes, order executions etc. This is something that a lot of you have asked for and the team is busy building this out.
Internal code improvements: While we’ve been releasing a lot of features and coins, it’s time for us to work on internal code improvements of our platform. We want to make the platform more robust so that it can work efficiently and continue to provide the same smooth and fast experience even with the growth in volumes that we’re experiencing every week. While it would be too technical to list them here, what you need to know is that these are much needed tweaks to our existing system to make it more robust and reliable as a platform.

Some achievements last week

Highest volume day: We’ve yet again beat our previous high of Rs. 1 Crore. We CROSSED Rs. 1.5 CRORE in 24 trading volume in week 6! We then crossed Rs. 2 CRORE in 24 hour trading volume in week 7. Like I had mentioned last week, our target ahead of us -> Reach a 24 hour volume of 100 BTC cumulative across all coins. If we keep the momentum going, I’m sure we’ll achieve that target. Let’s do this tribe!
Highest Number of Trades: We saw an 80% increase in the number of trades in week 6 and a further 60% increase in week 7. The number of unique traders increased by 35% compared to week 6 and further increased by 26% from week 6 to week 7. Amazing work tribe!
Higher 5 star ratings: We saw a 50% increase in the number of 5 star ratings for our app. The average rating was 4.5 during the week. We’ve been consistently doing well. I can’t believe it’s just been 7 weeks since we launched. In 7 weeks we’ve listed 10 coins and we’re adding new coins every week. We’ve built amazingly beautiful, smooth and fast interfaces on Android, iOS and Web. We’re growing as a tribe. More and more tribe members are referring WazirX to their friends and family. More and more people are doing work on their part to earn WRX and be a part of this revolution with us. Keep doing the good work. Blockchain is how everyone shares success together.
