Buy and Sell walls are market conditions that are created by large traders or Whales of certain crypto. A particularly big limit sell order or an accumulation of sell orders at one price level in an order book is referred to as a “sell wall.”
In addition to being the result of a single order placed at a certain price level, a sell wall can also be the result of several orders submitted at the same price level. Whales of any crypto frequently form buy or sell walls in order to control prices to their advantage. Sell walls are one of the tactics whales may employ to affect the price of an asset because of their substantial holdings. Hence, whale traders erect buy and sell barriers on a regular basis in an attempt to influence the markets.
