Malware, short for “malicious software,” is a general word for all dangerous computer programs that cybercriminals use to cause havoc and access private data, including viruses, worms, trojan horses, and Trojan horses.
Malware can be used for a variety of purposes, including monetary gain, extortion, espionage, blocking actions, remote control, deleting data, and disseminating false or illegal information. Malware has a number of important characteristics, including the ability to access a system without authorization and frequently without the user’s knowledge at first.
Numerous different types of harmful software fall under the general category of malware. By way of illustration, malware includes viruses, ransomware, and Trojan horses.
