A seed phrase is a string of random words produced by your cryptocurrency wallet when you initially set it up.
You can restore control of your crypto wallet and everything inside of it by using a seed phrase. Your seed phrase would enable you to set up a new wallet on a phone, browser, or hardware device and restore full access to your cryptocurrency if you used a mobile wallet and misplaced or lost your phone, had a hardware wallet that broke, or used a web browser on a computer that failed.
Compared to private keys, seed phrases are simpler to record and send, which reduces the possibility of human error when creating backups. What’s more, they can create a large number of keys from a single master key, which is an improvement over just one. Since they can generate an apparently endless number of receiving addresses from a single seed, users are able to avoid address reuse in this way.
