The five-star Palazzo Versace Dubai and the Varus chain of Ukrainian superstores now accept cryptocurrency for their goods and services.
Palazzo Versace Dubai to Accept Crypto
The 146-room ultra-luxury resort in Jaddaf Waterfront will accept bitcoin purchases for goods, primarily presents and vouchers, on its e-commerce platforms, according to a press statement.
The following was remarked on the development by Nadeem Ladki, Binance’s head of business development in the MENA area: “Palazzo Versace’s ability to now accept payments in virtual assets is a reflection of how the hospitality industry in Dubai is at the forefront of innovation as we move into a more digital world. Payments are just the beginning and we look forward to building on this partnership together.”
The option to pay at the site is now available for all guests for hotel stays, meals, events, and meetings.
Soon after, the integration of internet payments will begin. On its eCommerce channels, which include Gift Vouchers and Flower Shops, Palazzo Versace Dubai will also accept bitcoin payments.
Ukrainian Superstore Chain Will Also Accept Crypto
Similar developments include the Ukrainian retailer Varus, which has more than 100 superstores there, accepting cryptocurrency payments through Binance Pay.
With Binance Pay now being accepted, Varus is the first supermarket in Europe. Nine Ukrainian cities—Kyiv, Dnipro, Kamianske, Brovary, Nikopol, Vyshhorod, Kryvyi Rih, Zaporizhzhia, and Pavlograd—customers can pay for food and groceries using bitcoins.
