What happened last month
[Done] 16 new INR pairs: Last month, we added sixteen tokens to our INR (fiat) market! You can now buy, sell, trade ZRX, UFT, WIN, HOT, OMG, DOCK, FIL, PUSH, SC, DENT, CVC, IOST, FTT, DGB, EZ, and CAKE in our INR market. Deposit INR instantly on WazirX, and start trading your favourite pairs!

[Done] 9 new USDT pairs: In April, we added nine new tokens in our USDT market. You can now buy, sell, trade UFT, PUNDIX, CKB, VIB, GTO, PUSH, CVC, EZ, and CAKE in our USDT market. Happy trading!
[Done] Fourth WRX burn event: We completed the fourth WRX burn for the the quarter of January to March 2021 on 15th April 2021. We burned 3,753,333WRX equivalent to ₹112 Crores INR(~ $14 Million USD)! This burn event has permanently removed over $14 Million USD worth WRX from circulation! Read more
[Done] WRX/INR trading contest: To celebrate the fourth WRX burn event, we conducted a trading competition for WRX/INR. It was a 48-hours long trading marathon where we gave away ₹5,00,000 worth WRX among top 120 traders. Read more
[Done] PUSH/INR listing & giveaway: We listed EPNS Project (PUSH) on WazirX, and gave away $65,000 worth PUSH via a host of activities like AMA with Harsh Rajat (Founder & Project Lead) and Richa Joshi (Co-Founder), Highest Trader Kaun, Quiz Time with WazirX, and PUSH Trivia contest on Instagram! [Ongoing] AMM Protocol: There have been unforeseen delays in some of the protocols that our DEX is dependent upon. This is preventing us from going live. At this moment, we don’t have an ETA on how long this will take. Be assured that we’re working very hard with the protocol team to expedite the process.

[Ongoing] Faster KYC: We have been seeing a sudden and huge surge in new signups on WazirX. We are working hard to ensure KYC approval is expedited.

Something to add
In April, there were times when sudden unprecedented traffic caused WazirX to slow down. We’re working on improving our systems. We’re in the middle of scaling our systems to sustain the increased load. We had announced Project Raftaar and the first version is nearing completion. This new trading engine should help in sustaining the immense load WazirX sees during peak events. Thank you for supporting us!
