BUIDL, like “HODL,” is a warped version of the word “build.” BUIDL is a call for action for building and contributing to the blockchain and crypto ecosystem.
Instead of just accumulating or trading crypto, the BUIDL movement holds a firm belief that people should start contributing proactively to promote adoption and strengthen the ecosystem in which they invested.
Interestingly, one doesn’t need to be a programmer to participate in BUIDLing. One can contribute to the ecosystem by using smart contracts, beta testing products, writing articles, creating awareness, playing blockchain games, using crypto wallets, and performing any other activity that can help the blockchain and crypto fields evolve and expand.
It’s unclear who coined the phrase BUIDL for the first time. Many prominent figures in the crypto ecosystem, on the other hand, believe in BUIDLing and frequently utilize the phrase to promote the entire ecosystem’s development. For instance, the founder of ETH, Vitalik Buterin uses BUIDL when referring to Ethereum’s development.
